Early games open thread

Several interesting and potentially important matchups are on tap for the early games today. Both other NFC East teams, Was & Dal, are on their bye weeks.

The 1pm games are highlighted by what should be two good division matchups. The 4-4 Saints travel to Atlanta to take on the 5-3 Falcons and the 4-4 Packers travel to the twin cities to take on the 4-4 Vikings as someone looks to take an advantage in the NFC North. The 5-3 Patriots also host the 5-3 Bills in a game for AFC East supremacy.

The lates games are highlighted by a Colts at Steelers matchup.

It looks that way. Especially since that Pitt/Indy game isn’t nearly as exciting as it looked before the season started.

I could be unemployed by the end of the night ...

My company is based in Manhattan, EVERYONE is a Giants fan (most just recently, wonder why?) … We are having a work party tonight for the game and I’m wearing my Dawk Jersey, can’t wait to see my CEOs face. GO BIRDS!!!

ridiculous

and what about the Bears D? Think the Titans will get to 15 yards rushing?
Too bad they don’t have any offense to speak of…

i’m more worried about the fact that I have Brett Favre and Jericho Cotchery in fantasy and they jumped out to such a big lead and are a great running team I’m getting a big goose egg for points.

The Bears run D is amazing but they seem to have caught a case of Eagle-itis because Bo Scaife is lighting them up. And yeah they have zero offense although Forte is a nice RB.

Who’s better: sheppard or brown??

Brown ... no question.

brown...

is better than samuel. You hardly ever see the ball thrown his way because he’s a true lockdown corner. Sure he dosn’t have big INT numbers, but non of the truly great CB’s do. Samuel takes risks and get’s burned on occasion, tho he’s still a great CB.

hell no

I think they all are close in ranking…in Madden ranking id say there all between 90-97…They have 3 different styles of play i think…Samuel is that lightning quick INT guy, Sheppard is bettr in a zone D and Sheldon in a man-man D…but hell, how great is it to have em all on our team…
Id say Samuel Sheppard Brown though for order of goodness
