Did Eli Manning give Dallas a shot?
Maybe Reueben Frank is reading too much into this... but this quote from Eli Manning was interesting.
When Eli Manning was asked about the Giants' lopsided but sloppy 35-14 win over the Cowboys — three turnovers, eight penalties, lots of missed opportunities — he quickly announced that the Giants would need a much better effort this Sunday.
In other words, to the Giants, the Eagles right now are more of a challenge than the freefalling Cowboys.
"We are going to have to be a lot better because we are playing a good team this week,” Manning said. "We can't afford to have that many turnovers on offense.”
I like Eli Manning just a bit more today...

Hahahahah....
That’s definitely a shot at the Cowgirls. Also a complement to us……Eli, you’re a lot smarter then many people give you credit for.

I don’t really think it was an intentional shot at the Cowboys, or that he meant it like it sounded.
More like an athlete who was caught up in his usual brain-numbing cliches to know or care that it might sound a little off.
On the other hand, if it has the tiniest chance of pissing off Terrell Owens, I’m pleased.

i think it was just tongue and cheek nfl talk though

No way! He meant it.
We know that the Eagles are going to be tough to beat. Westbrook often has great days against us and McNabb is hard to sack when he is on his game. I think our secondary will be tested because he is good at buying just enough time to make a big play.

I think it was an unintentional shot I mean Eli is dumb as shit and words just fall out of his mouth … but it was still hilarious

but thank God
Eli’s smart enough to run a two-minute offense in the Super Bowl.

Have you heard this idiot speak … “And by the way, Mama. "Alligators” are ornery ’cause of their “Medula Oblongata”!" … what a clown.

As a side note, did anyone else but me hear this morning that LJ will be back and Brent sees the bench? Ugh…

Come on
Thats what I predicted a few days ago but I was really hoping I was wrong. I did hear something along those lines this monring on the radio. I heard there was a good chance Smith would be starting if he is at full strength. Reid drives me f-ing crazy!

brent seems to be getting the hank baskett rap. do nothing but perform on the field then have analysts and coaches say your not as talented as the guys out on the field droppin balls.
brent kinda reminds me of chad lewis actually nothing flashy just a hard nosed sure catching tight end

Seriously though, Celek had a good day against SEATTLE. No one was covering him.
I think you can make the case for Celek having more playing time, but starting Celek? I don’t know about that yet.
As for Baskett, how often does he make plays and against what kind of coverage? When he did have playing time earlier this year, how often did he make plays or get open?

Sorry for wanting the TE that shows me he can actually catch the ball to start… Also, if you’ve watched the games this year, you’d see that Baskett has made plays in pretty much whatever coverage he’s been up against. He may not be the fastest guy, but he does one thing all of the time… He catches the ball. He’s the one WR on this team that I know will catch the ball when it is thrown his way, no matter how off target it is or how big of a hit he takes. He catches the ball and holds onto it.

ELI DUMB
For all you football brains out there – FYI – Eli posted the highest score on the NFL exam in 10 years when he entered the league. He may sound dumb – but he isn’t.

a three year old can do well on that exam
have you seen it? they ask what the 3rd month of the year is….that does not prove intelligence.

you're joking right?
The Wonderlic is a joke dude you can practice for it and if you don’t believe me why don’t you ask Marshawn Lynch who got a 14 on his first try then popped out an amazing 42 and this guy is an idiot.
Honestley dude Brian Greise scored a 39 (same as Elisha) and Dan Marino scored a 16 … I’d take Marino any day over the Greiser.
Brady Quinn got a 29 and then a 47 (50 is perfect which Ryan Fitzpatrick got in 2005 on his 3rd attempt)
Oh and your an idiot
Eli posted the highest score on the NFL exam in 10 years when he entered the league.
Oh really because I’m pretty sure Drew Henson popped out a 42 the year before … maybe you aren’t as smart as Eli but 42 > 39. Do some research before you slam your hands into the keyboard.

I don’t think you really truly believe that … I know A LOT of NY fans and most if not all of them still hate Eli and think he got really lucky with a great D … and your D was great thanks to Spags.

southern accent = dumb? Wow…thanks for reminding me why I love Philadelphia so much

no moron… “country bumpkin” does not equal “Southern Accent”
I’ve heard plent of people that grew up in the country in Northern states that fall into this catagory.
A person, usually from a rural area, the south or small town; who speaks or behaves in a manner that indicates a lack of understanding of the ever changing, modern world. A bumpkin is more ignorant than uneducated, though most are probably uneducated. Either way, educated or not, country bumpkins are neccesarily ignorant. Country bumpkins come in every ethnicity and in both genders.

the people who criticize McNabb because he’s black are the real idiots …. I criticize him because he throws the ball into the dirt.
