A quick peek at the NFC East Standings
With the Redskins loss last night to the Steelers, the Eagles are now even with them in the loss column. The Redskins have their bye next week, so the Eagles have the opportunity to pull even with them.
It really does underscore just how big this Sunday's matchup with the Giants is. With a win, the Eagles will wake up Monday in second place in the NFC East just one game back of the division lead.

So if we win this week against the Giants and become 6-3, do we move up above Washington or stay where we are?
i forget how the tie breakers work the NFL. Does it come down to NFC East Record and then the matchup against the same opponents? If so, we beat the Rams and steelers, whom they lost too.
Unfortunatly, we arn’t doing well in the NFC East.
It’s head to head first, then division record, then common opponents, then conference record.
We’ve only lost 2 of 6 games in the NFC East. We still control our destiny there. Washington has one loss, Dallas has two. If we win out in the division we’ll be all but guaranteed to win that tiebreaker. It’s not easy, but at least it’s within our control.
This game is really really really important. If we lose, we sit back in 4th place again. With a win, we are basically in second. Look at the points for and points against. I have no idea how the redskins are doing so good. Its gotta be just luck.
well technically
the Skins have gone 2-2 in the last 4 games beating the Browns and Lions and losing to the Rams and Steelers (sans Roethlesberger for a half) so I don’t think they are really that good. We shit the bed against them after going up 14 nothing.
