Plax to Turn Himself into Police Custody

Was all the cash paid to Plax by the Giants really worth it. He could end up like Michael Vick, rotting in jail. Reports also have it that Pierce was with him and took him to the hospital. No charges will be filed against Pierce, whom was extremely helpful to the police. Foxsports.com
New York City law enforcement sources have told FOX Sports that they received word this morning that Burress has in fact agreed to turn himself in with attorneys by tomorrow. The sources said the police searched areas of New York and New Jersey yesterday looking to locate Burress to question him regarding the shooting at Latin Quarters nightclub early Saturday morning. Reports also indicate that Burress had a Florida gun permit but that the permit expired in May. New York law prohibits the possession of a concealed weapon within New York even if one is licensed in an outside state. Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2006 led the way to stiffen gun laws in New York City making it a mandatory 3½-year sentence for being busted for illegal possession of a firearm within the city.

plax to turn himself in to police...

where is the comish with his suspensions, is it all right to beat your wife and have the police called , have several restraining orders to protect your wife. is it ok to have an unregistered gun in the state you’re in and handle it in a way that you shoot your leg while handing it over to security, yeah right they covered up what ever happened, as did the hospital.

something has gone wrong with plex, he doesn’t look the same. we need some consistency from the comish

It just happened 2 days ago right? I would imagine a suspension is inevitable.

The suspension is inevitable because of the new info coming out. He had a permit in Florida that expired in May. NFL regs say that any player that carries a gun must a) not carry it in NFL facilities and b) be in good standing with the local law(s). Burress is in grievous violation of point b because his gun was not registered in either state (NY and NJ) where the events occurred and then NY’s laws regarding gun possession should be the topper.

The New York Giants fined and suspended Burress on Tuesday for four games – the rest of the regular season – after he accidentally shot himself in the right thigh over the weekend at a Manhattan nightclub. The team also placed him on the reserve non-football injury list, which means the wide receiver couldn’t come back for playoffs, either.
The team punished Burress a day after he was charged with illegal weapons possession, which carries a penalty of 3 1/2 to 15 years in prison. He is due back in court on March 31.
