Interesting Stats

I'm NOT a huge stat guy by any means, but here's some interesting stats

1. Pro Football Focus has DeSean Jackson as the 7th best overall WR this year

I know you have to be 6'5'' 250 lbs and run a 4.2 to be considered a #1 in Philadelphia, but there's something to look at.

2. Conversely, our good friend Lito Sheppard is allowing a high % of passes caught, for a lot of yards, and QBs have a 158.3 QB rating throwing too him. Asante is ranked the 10th best corner this year with Sheldon being ranked at 27.

3. L.J. Smith is the 83rd ranked TE but Brent Celek is the 22nd best ranked overall TE. Celek was given credit for his pass catching abilities but was given negative points for blocking.

4. Juqua Parked has the 2nd most QB pressures in the league. Trent Cole is ranked the 13th overall best DE right now. Parked was also ranked 7th against the run as a DE.

5. Interestingly enough Mike Patterson is ranked the 63rd best overall DT, Bunkley the 25th, and Darren Howard the 16th.

6. Omar Gaither ranked the 4th best OLB!?!!!

Some interesting stats, certainly not telling of actual play but..

DeSean Jackson as the 7th best overall WR cool- but as a rookie #1

nfl rookie receiving stats [ according to all mighty internet ]DeSean Jackson -775 yards #1 /Eddie Royal -673 YARDS #2/ donnie avery499 yards #5, and so on anyhow my point is there was a post /arguement about who is better jackson or avery JACKSON is clearly better than avery. these are not my stats for the record i think jacksons total stats are way higher because they use him in so many ways other than wr , avery is a very good rookie , but jackson is more of a multi -talented versital all purpose weapon that avery hasnt been thus far , hopefully jackson can keep up this killing pace as a nfl player . piss on the stats did anybody actually think he would turn out to be and do the great things he has done so far as a rookie at the nfl level this quickly ?

i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
