Story of 6 QBs
[Note by NickPampani, 11/25/08 9:57 PM PST ]
Ok so with all out QB controversy I have came up with a little comparison. Here is 6 different QB both past and present in which most of them if not all will be Hall of Fame QBs. I took the first 10 years of each of their careers and lined them up against each other.
| Games | Comp. | Att. | Pct. | Yards | YPG | TD | Int | |
| QB1 | 140 | 2993 | 4931 | 60.7% | 34706 | 247.9 | 255 | 155 |
| QB2 | 123 | 2424 | 4132 | 58.7% | 28174 | 229.05 | 185 | 89 |
| QB3 | 151 | 3159 | 5284 | 59.7% | 39502 | 261.60 | 300 | 165 |
| QB4 | 85 | 1926 | 2959 | 65.1% | 24008 | 282.44 | 152 | 100 |
| QB5 | 130 | 2524 | 4517 | 55.9% | 29878 | 229.83 | 153 | 154 |
| QB6 | 144 | 2475 | 4336 | 57.1% | 30216 | 209.83 | 158 | 157 |
| TD per Game |
Int per Game |
Sacks | Sacks per Game |
Rate | Super Bowl Wins |
SB By Retire |
|
| QB1 | 1.82 | 1.10 | 299 | 2.13 | 77.7 | 1 | NA |
| QB2 | 1.50 | 0.72 | 316 | 2.56 | 85.3 | 0 | NA |
| QB3 | 1.98 | 1.09 | 153 | 1.01 | 88.2 | 0 | 0 |
| QB4 | 1.78 | 1.17 | 210 | 2.47 | 84.8 | 1 | NA |
| QB5 | 1.17 | 1.18 | 257 | 1.97 | 78.7 | 0 | NA |
| QB6 | 1.09 | 1.09 | 325 | 2.25 | 72.9 | 0 | 2 |
So there are some numbers of 6 very good and very well known QBs but 10 years doesnt mean much. this is a tough game and its all about what you've done for me lately so i have came up with that stat too. here is the last 3 years of each QBs 10 years. so thatis season 8 9 and 10
| Games | Comp. | Att. | Pct. | Yards | YPG | TD | Int | |
| QB1 | 48 | 1026 | 1726 | 59.4% | 12115 | 252.39 | 73 | 62 |
| QB2 | 35 | 706 | 1189 | 59.4% | 8741 | 249.74 | 51 | 23 |
| QB3 | 48 | 954 | 1634 | 58.4% | 11649 | 242.68 | 70 | 40 |
| QB4 | 26 | 631 | 994 | 63.5% | 7507 | 288.73 | 44 | 31 |
| QB5 | 42 | 908 | 1558 | 58.3% | 10678 | 254.23 | 53 | 50 |
| QB6 | 44 | 710 | 1269 | 55.9% | 9021 | 205.02 | 38 | 43 |
| TD per Game |
Int per Game |
Sacks | Sacks per Game |
Rate | |
| QB1 | 1.52 | 1.29 | 106 | 2.20 | 80.2 |
| QB2 | 1.45 | 0.65 | 82 | 2.34 | 88.8 |
| QB3 | 1.45 | 0.83 | 70 | 1.45 | 84.5 |
| QB4 | 1.69 | 1.19 | 57 | 2.19 | 88.3 |
| QB5 | 1.26 | 1.19 | 77 | 1.83 | 77.0 |
| QB6 | 0.86 | 0.97 | 124 | 2.81 | 73.2 |
What do you think? who are thes QBs? who do you like? who is overrated? who should be let go from their respective team at that time? who would you trust more to lead the eagles into the next few years of the rebuilding process?

How will these QB’s respond to the harsh Philly media and fans? How many SB rings to they each have? How well do they respond to pressure? Can they play shitty all game, then pull out a win in the 4th quarter? etc??
I know #2 is Don, as he has one of the best TD/Int ratios out there. I have always liked Donovan, but the numbers above are not nearly enough to go on in making a decision.
Honestly, I am not against starting McNabb next year, and retooling for another run. As bad as we have been, we are still not that far off. It would take some big changes though, and I am not sure the current front office would make them.
captain
i have up there how many SB rings each one has. and i do belive all these QB would fair well when handling Philly fans.(1 or 2 might be in question) and to be completely hounest ive seen all 6 handle pressure well
Nick
My apologies for that, I did not see it.

QB#2
I’m guessing #2 is McNabb because of the lowest INT rate of any of the QBs. And you’re right… when McNabb is somewhere else, maybe he’ll be appreciated for how good he was in Philly.
There’s no doubt McNabb has talent and that he has good football left in him. I just don’t think it’s here. There’s been too much with the media, fans and now with Reid to continue in this town.
ill tell you guys soon
i was waiting on a little more posts and intrest first
I went 2...
im betting its McNabb too… Low INTs (i hate turnoevers), decent production for TDs (not the worst, but not the best). I didnt like the sack rate though, but that could also be looked at from the Oline.
Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!
no
i disagree. only because for the past few years mcnabb tends to hold onto the ball too long and eat the sack instead of throwing it away. This year he has gotten better somewhat, but the O-line throughout his career has always been above avg.
lol ok
well i w planning on announcing it on sunday but i guess i will now give me a second
