Headed to Baltimore?
Hey Guys....
This is the game that I have been looking forward to all year. As all of you may guess from my screen name, I am from Baltimore. I live about 2 miles from the stadium and am SO pumped for this game. I wish we had a little more momentum, but still certainly excited! I am a huge fan so everyone is giving me shit this week. Anyways....I was wondering if anyone was coming down for the game. I will be tailgating by about 9, and I figure i can offer some suggestions, or maybe even meet up. Just checking.....Let me know.

agreed
it is pretty nice. the stadium being in the middle of the city is way cooler than the set up in philly. everyone pours into federal hill after the game and its only about a 5 minute walk.

Also Agree
It is a great stadium and eventhough they wont be cheering for my team its nice to see passionate fans. Ive had many good times in downtown Baltimore. Half of which I cant remember, but the pictures look fun.

Wish I were going to this one. I live in York.
I was at a Ravens-Packers game at whatever they call the Ravens’ stadium these days. It was a Monday night game in Mid December. I have never in my life, before or since, been that cold.
I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

good times…i’ll be there.. looking forward to 9AM tailgate and morning brews..will be a great game and, yes, cold. we both need this win bad. if you can cover mason we won’t put up many points unless one of our gimmick plays work. our d bends and flat out broke against the giants so we’ll see who shows up..McNabb will have plenty of time in the pocket especially on 3rd and longs when we go prevent. i hope you lay down for this one. philly fans are great-last group i ran into offered up some beer and brats when i was running late to the game a few years ago and starved. i’ll never forget.

I live in DC and
I went to the last 3 pre-season games vs. the birds, and I also went to the Patriots MNF game there last year. Good times, great stadium. I get a kick out of that “Move those Chains” chant. Anyway, I’ve noticed that in the past three Eagles-Ravens games, the Ravens fans have become more beligerent (towards me in my Eagles gear). I’m not loud or looking for trouble, but I’ve definitely seen some nasty 700-level shit.
What gives?

I don’t hate the Ravens or anything, but if you want to get pissed off, I’m sure Peter Schmuck of the Baltimore Sun will write his annual columns about what assholes Eagles fans are.

Oh Well
Ive been living in Md now for 3 years. Ive been to a few Baltimore games. Like you said Goodfella, their fans can be pretty bad. But Ive been escorted out for giving it right back. I found the security to be pretty far when it comes to handling that stuff. I will be there Sunday and I will be cheering on my Eagles as loudly as ever. If any Ravens fans want to try and stop I say go ahead. Im not by any means a violent or confruntational person, but if some dumbass wants to be a dick I dont plan on putting up with him long. I think there is going to be a big turn out for the boys i green!!

I've seen both locations
and the fans in Philly are much better tailgaters than the Ravens fans. They are crazy, drunk and obnoxious to other teams colors and have amazing pre-game set ups that include generators providing heat to tents wrapped in plastic wrap with heaters, carpet, sofas TV’s for the fans not even going into the stadium to watch the game. They just stay in the lot and watch it on TV and then tailgate some more AFTER the game. Crazy!

There’s not really a lot of tailgate space for the Ravens, is there though?
That’s kind of the downside of a downtown stadium.
There’s the parking lots at whatever they’re calling Ravens Stadium and Oriole Park @ Camden Yards (Go O’s!), but I think Philly has WAY more tailgating because there’s a lot more parking.
