Chiefs signs Studebaker off Eagles practice squad
Studebaker was a 7th round pick of the Eagles this year who signed to their practice squad after training camp. Today he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Eureka High grad Andy Studebaker has a new NFL home. The Kansas City Chiefs have signed Studebaker off of the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Studebaker will make his Chiefs debut Sunday at home against Buffalo. Studebaker worked out with Kansas City prior to the 2008 NFL Draft. Now, he's a Chiefs player. Studebaker will now be on the Chiefs active roster for the remainder of the season.

Hmm
Judging from what I heard, he’s a lot like Chris Gocong. And considering how Gocong’s playing, this probably isn’t a big loss.

P.S.
I think he was a 6th rounder. I remember we had like 19 of them in the past draft.

i've got a feelingt that mays is gonna find himself in the lineup at some point
he looked pretty damn good in preseason, though i don’t think he’s been active at all in the regular season.
When they should be sacrifice bunting, they are buying effeminate designer jeans. When they should be fouling off pitches, they are masturbating. Always, they are masturbating.

No big loss
I remember Dave Spadaro being kind of high on this kid. Another reason not to listen to Spuds if you want to good information.
Studebaker was another one of those project players that Andy Reid seems to love. The guy was a DE in college (Wheaton) and they were trying to convert him to linebacker. I don’t understand why Reid loves to get these project players and change their position (Chris Gocong, Josh Parry, Dan Klecko, Studebaker). It’s starting to become another one of Reid’s flaws.
All that said, I don’t think it’s a big loss for the Eagles. I really didn’t see a place for Studebaker here. He may go on to become a decent role player or backup with another team, but I don’t think anything was going to happen for him here in Philadelphia.

ALmost any team that picked Studebaker was bound to switch his position. His body and athleticism screams linebacker, especially in a 3-4

I would say its JJ that loves these “project LBs”.
I would also like to point out how much JJ likes to blitz. Having an athletic fast LB allows him to get the the QB quickly. I think these project LBs work out enough that I am ok with it. He wasn’t going anywhere as a d end.
Only problem is…they don’t know how to cover the pass. Gocong is still a work in progess.
