Philadelphia Eagles at Cincinnati Bengals Open Thread

Philadelphia Eagles at Cincinnati Bengals, Nov 16, 2008 1:00 PM EST

Eagles_helmet_right_80w_mediumBengals_helmet_left_80w_medium

Location: Paul Brown Stadium

Time: 1pm

TV/Radio: Fox/94 WYSP/610 WIP/Sirius 144

Did you know?

With one touchdown, Brian Westbrook will move into 6th place on the Eagles all time TD list. With two he'll tie for 5th place and with 3 he'll tie for 4th.

Bottom Line

They're all must wins from here on out. Coming off a home loss to a divisional rival to face a 1-8 Bengals team without Carson Palmer the Eagles have no excuses today. Anything other than a super motivated and solid performance is acceptable today.

I just hope they don’t play down to the competition. They have a tendency to do that at the beginning of games.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:04 PM EST reply actions

The ends need to do a better job of not taking themselves out of plays.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:06 PM EST reply actions

Hey fellow Eagle fans.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:07 PM EST reply actions

Great pass Donovan. How about getting a completion in the first quarter today.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:09 PM EST reply actions

Herreman’s back.. anyone know what he did to get on Andy’s shit list last week? Did he cut in front of Reid in the chow line at Old Country Buffett or something?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:10 PM EST reply actions

If they don’t run the ball on first down, chances are they won’t run at all.

Andy doesn’t seem to realize that 3rd and 7 is better than 3rd and 10.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:11 PM EST reply actions

3 and out

fuqua. how you been. any more shit today?

Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!

by anuj on Nov 16, 2008 1:11 PM EST reply actions

I am good. But I don’t think I get it.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:12 PM EST up reply actions

Paying lip service to the fans… then they turn around and raise ticket prices.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:14 PM EST reply actions

nice punt by cincy

Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!

by anuj on Nov 16, 2008 1:19 PM EST reply actions

Unbelievable. Really. Make the fucking catch.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:21 PM EST reply actions

Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!

by anuj on Nov 16, 2008 1:23 PM EST reply actions

Another fabulous pass. This garbage is damn near unwatchable.

another 3 and out. fuck this shit

Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!

by anuj on Nov 16, 2008 1:24 PM EST reply actions

Fire Andy Reid. That is all.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:31 PM EST reply actions

This game could become a penalty fest. The Giants are getting lots of penalties in their game too.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:31 PM EST reply actions

This looks familiar…

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 1:31 PM EST reply actions

This is an embarrassment.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:39 PM EST reply actions

McNabb looks lost

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 1:39 PM EST reply actions

That’s par for the course in the first quarter these days.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:40 PM EST up reply actions

One freaking yard the whole quarter?! Pathetic!

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:41 PM EST reply actions

This whole game is a train wreck....

From the horrid mistakes, dropped passes and miscues to the terrible mcnabb throws, whack play callying, and turnover this game is something to behold

by Joe_D on Nov 16, 2008 1:41 PM EST reply actions

If we lose this one they should be irrelevant. They should pull the plug on Reid if we can’t beat the god damned bengals.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 1:43 PM EST up reply actions

Is it possible

that the NFL is fixed? I am simply beside myself in disbelief. WHAT THE FUCK!

by captain nodar on Nov 16, 2008 1:44 PM EST reply actions

Hope we won’t be seeing this at the Cards game 700

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 1:48 PM EST up reply actions

I’ll take a shirt, Joe! Better yet, just place a trail of donuts out of town on the Sure-kill distressway. Maybe Reid will follow the donuts.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 1:45 PM EST reply actions

Stay on your feet Buck

by Therien's Kid on Nov 16, 2008 1:48 PM EST reply actions

Buck is our best O player!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 1:49 PM EST reply actions

Point taken

But it’s nice to have a good story like him once in a while. When I look at him running, I’m thinking “Man-those knees!”

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:00 PM EST up reply actions

Hmmm What trick play is next?

by Therien's Kid on Nov 16, 2008 2:00 PM EST reply actions

We are doing a good job of making the Bengals D look competent.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:00 PM EST reply actions

Everyone knows about the reverse with DeSean by now.

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:01 PM EST reply actions

I hate this fucking team.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:06 PM EST reply actions

I'm gonna assume it's not just me ...

… but after a week of complaining about awful play-calling, it’s actually worse today, is it not?

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:06 PM EST reply actions

It’s bad in general. It’s hard to tell if it’s better or worse in any given week because you have to account for the fact that the offensive players have not been especially good either.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:07 PM EST up reply actions

True.

I mean, I like the creativity … but not every play. On a team that clearly needs to establish the run, even if it’s with Buck instead of Westbrook, all I’ve seen is screens, reverses, flea-flickers and McNabb’s typical three-and-out early-game passing. (he usually warms up tho)

This is a hard team to invest a lot of emotion in because you know they’re going to burn you in the end. They are what we think they are :)

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:10 PM EST up reply actions

Well expecting Andy Reid to demonstrate even a minimal commitment to establishing the running game early will only set you up for disappointment.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:15 PM EST up reply actions

Others are probably jumping back and forth w/ Giants game

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:09 PM EST reply actions

Now the defense is starting to collapse.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:09 PM EST reply actions

They put so much pressure on them with three-and-outs, no sustained drives and the turnover.

They can’t be great every play.

That fumble is nice though.

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:11 PM EST up reply actions

This game is like watching a train wreck in slow motion

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:10 PM EST reply actions

Which team is 1-8 again?

by captain nodar on Nov 16, 2008 2:11 PM EST reply actions

Turnover and I’m not even excited I’m just curious as to how they are going to screw this up

by Therien's Kid on Nov 16, 2008 2:12 PM EST reply actions

Maybe we’ll have to rely on our D to score as well as stop Cincy

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:13 PM EST reply actions

Once again…maybe this Eagles team just isn’t very good?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:13 PM EST reply actions

Hey, it could be worse… we could still have Dhani Jones as a starting LB

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:20 PM EST reply actions

Brilliant

Show the Wildcat right before the 2-minute warning.

I’m so not a negative fan, these guys are just driving me nuts.

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:23 PM EST reply actions

Hey guys

Just got in, what the hell is going on?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:23 PM EST reply actions

Typical Eagles football

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:24 PM EST up reply actions

Really McNabb? Really? Right to him?

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:24 PM EST reply actions

Another attempt to LJ that wound up being an INT. Anyone else rather see Celek at TE?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:25 PM EST reply actions

Not much good seems to come from throwing to LJ

Anyone still glad the Eagles didn’t send KC a 2nd round pick for Tony Gonzalez?

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:29 PM EST up reply actions

Okay. Something has to change. Enough is enough. Clean house or something. Anything to make this team worthwhile on Sunday afternoons.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:27 PM EST reply actions

Yikes

What the hell happened to this team?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:27 PM EST reply actions

Really.

Unbelievable. Are they mailing in in or what? They need to snap out of it fast.

At least Housh just helped my fantasy team.

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:28 PM EST up reply actions

Wow. Do we suck or do we suck?

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:27 PM EST reply actions

Our offense regresses as the year goes on. This is truly unbelievable. Never, in my wildest imagination, did I expect the O to play THAT bad.

by captain nodar on Nov 16, 2008 2:28 PM EST reply actions

I honestly think...

…that this team is either giving up on Andy Reid, or has already done so.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:29 PM EST reply actions

I actually had the same thought.

I also think some Eagles fans might start rooting for that to expedite the remaking of this team.

There’s so much talent here though, it shouldn’t need a massive overhaul.

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:32 PM EST up reply actions

P.S.

Do we really only have 5 rushing yards?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:29 PM EST reply actions

Westbrook 4 carries, 6 yards.

There’s a problem with that.

by D3Keith on Nov 16, 2008 2:32 PM EST up reply actions

watch us take a knee

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 2:30 PM EST reply actions

This season is drawing to a close very quickly. Who thought that the Eagles’ first round pick would actually be higher than the Panthers one we traded for! Lol!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:31 PM EST reply actions

go eagles!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 2:32 PM EST reply actions

McNabb

All of his throws seem incredibly wobbly.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:32 PM EST reply actions

and behind his receivers

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 2:33 PM EST up reply actions

I think a few things are clear:

1. The west coast offense has by and large fallen out of favor and defenses are having an easier time defending it.

2. As a team, we do not have the ability – because of a lack of skill at the WR and QB positions – to be effective with the WCO.

As long as Andy Reid is coaching this team, we cannot expect a change in offensive philosophy – the WCO is all he knows, and he adheres to its tenets dogmatically – to the more balanced offensive approach that most successful teams these days use.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:34 PM EST reply actions

But...

The WCO requires running the ball.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:35 PM EST up reply actions

AFTER you establish the pass…which we don’t seem to have the skill to do…thus, the run never opens up. It becomes this cycle where our inability to pass forces us to continue passing in lieu of the run.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:36 PM EST up reply actions

Lol

It’s like an animal in its final deathrolls!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:37 PM EST up reply actions

True

Running a WCO with Curtis and Brown isn’t going to get it done.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:38 PM EST up reply actions

Really. These guys are getting locked out of this game by the second worst team in the league.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:40 PM EST up reply actions

Agreed

The NFL has caught up with Reid. Which makes his playcalling and game management so predictable. No one ever thought Coughlin could change, but he did…can Reid? (Given, Coughlin didn’t really change his philosophy).

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 2:37 PM EST up reply actions

This has nothing to do with WCO or something else

The Eagles have always been predictable with their play-calling. They make themselves 1-dimensional by design when they throw the ball all the time. Why should any defense respect the Eagles running game when they KNOW… ‘cause it’s happened time and time again, that the Eagles are going to call a pass play at least 70% of the time?

And if Reid does hand off to one of his running backs, chances are he won’t do it back-to-back!

Unless it’s 2nd & 1 on the goalline. Then Reid will keep trying to hammer it up the middle!

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:42 PM EST up reply actions

They are 1-dimensional because Reid refuses to abandon – or even modify – the West Coast hocus pocus that he learned when he was Brett Farve’s handmaiden 12 years ago. The playcalling flows from his refusal to jettison the WC philosophy. So I say to Jeff Lurie, jettison Reid if you want to win.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:46 PM EST up reply actions

The system doesn't matter

West Coast/East Coast/Iron Belt

If the other guy thinks all you’re going to do is pass, and all you ever call are pass plays, you are screwed.

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:52 PM EST up reply actions

Well I think it is clear we agree on the key point: Reid needs to go, because his playcalling ain’t changing.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:53 PM EST up reply actions

What amazes me is how woefully we are unprepared for a 1-8 team with a back up QB.

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 2:35 PM EST reply actions

Just curious... what happened on the last pick?

Have to follow the game on-line so details are a bit sketchy. Bad pass or did Curtis let it go through his hands?

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:38 PM EST reply actions

Hard to say

Bounced off Curtis but not sure if he ran the route a little off or McNabb’s pass was off.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:39 PM EST up reply actions

Bounced off of Curtis’ back shoulder pad

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 2:40 PM EST up reply actions

So basically, off his chest?

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 2:42 PM EST up reply actions

I really feel...

…like if we lose this game, the calls for Andy’s head are going to be ear-splitting. Forget about losing to the Giants. But the Bengals?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:40 PM EST reply actions

Man, used to really enjoy watching the Eags. I am at the point now where I am so disgusted 15 minutes into every game, it just wrecks the entire day. Forget complaining about them, all as we do is rehash the same old complaints we all have been saying for the past 2 years. Obviously, nothing will change. FuquaManuel summed it up Reid’s approach best – dogmatic. I have had enough for today, the damage is done, regardless of the final outcome.

by captain nodar on Nov 16, 2008 2:42 PM EST reply actions

one word -Embarrassing-

i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…

by EAGLE_MAN71 on Nov 16, 2008 2:42 PM EST reply actions

Bottom Line

This team is not playing hard for Andy anymore.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:48 PM EST reply actions

Agreed AJay. Welcome to a 3-13 season next year before Lurie finally has the good sense to get rid of him.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:49 PM EST reply actions

He would not have completed that pass anyways.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:49 PM EST reply actions

Yeah

That was a stupid try. Probably would’ve been his third interception right there

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:50 PM EST up reply actions

We really are gonna lose this thing.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:52 PM EST reply actions

Bengals

Playing with a lot of confidence now…

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 2:53 PM EST reply actions

Down 10…coming up empty here might do us in.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 2:55 PM EST reply actions

Why the hell don’t they throw to Baskett more? He’s the only receiver with both size and speed.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 2:59 PM EST reply actions

woohoo!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 3:00 PM EST reply actions

by Andrew B on Nov 16, 2008 3:09 PM EST reply actions

McNabb is just a hot mess.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 3:12 PM EST reply actions

Seriously

Never throw to LJ Smith. Donovan’s worst passes are ALWAYS to LJ Smith.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 3:13 PM EST reply actions

Good Lord

Nice game Donovan, really……

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 3:13 PM EST reply actions

Not banged up, streaky etc, just POORLY. Bad decisions, bad mechanics, bad throws…

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 3:13 PM EST up reply actions

OR...

The Bengals are the best pass defense in the league.
Somehow doubt that…

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 3:14 PM EST reply actions

this sucks. Its the freaking bengals.

by Ben16 on Nov 16, 2008 3:14 PM EST reply actions

Most of McNabb’s INTs this season are passes intended for LJ Smith. Brent Celek, anyone?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:14 PM EST reply actions

How is that LJ’s fault?

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 3:15 PM EST up reply actions

i dont think it is LJ’s fault. At least celek catches the balls when they are thrown to him.

by Ben16 on Nov 16, 2008 3:17 PM EST up reply actions

Jesus

What was McNabb even thinking on that play??

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 3:15 PM EST reply actions

Or at this point, maybe we need to give Kolb a shot.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:15 PM EST reply actions

seems like he feels he has to win the game on his own.

by Ben16 on Nov 16, 2008 3:15 PM EST reply actions

Will this come down to Aker’s weenie left leg?

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 3:52 PM EST reply actions

Yes. And he will miss a 42 yarder sending it to OT…where we will lose.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 3:53 PM EST up reply actions

Un. Be. Lieve. Able.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 3:55 PM EST reply actions

fake punt!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 3:55 PM EST reply actions

What the fuck was that?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:55 PM EST reply actions

piece of shit punt!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 3:56 PM EST reply actions

Maybe the D will win the game for us with a pick. It may be the only way we’ll get into the Endzone.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:57 PM EST reply actions

This reminds me of the Eagles-Giants games of the Seventies. Two sucky teams who can’t do anything right

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 3:57 PM EST reply actions

Rocca’s OK… wind is really a factor here.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:57 PM EST reply actions

Remember the Miracle at the Meadowlands?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 3:58 PM EST reply actions

Yes, I was in the middle of the Pacific

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 3:59 PM EST up reply actions

Can you feel the pick 6 FTW coming up? I can FEEEEEL it.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 3:59 PM EST reply actions

Mister Clutch1

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:00 PM EST reply actions

C’mon McNabb… surprise us all. Prove B-Hop wrong about you being a choker.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:00 PM EST reply actions

This is silly.

They are playing a game: how many punts can we kick in 2 minutes.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:01 PM EST reply actions

WTF? ! Dhani Jones makes the play?!

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:01 PM EST reply actions

I think I’m going mad

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:01 PM EST reply actions

Rocca is fucking up something terrible.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:01 PM EST reply actions

God how we suck!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:02 PM EST reply actions

There WILL be another punt in this game.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:02 PM EST reply actions

This game is a toilet bowl. Which team wants to lose more?

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:03 PM EST reply actions

Does either team really have a chance to score in OT? This is gonna be a tie.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:04 PM EST reply actions

Maybe this game will end in a tie. That would be cool.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:04 PM EST reply actions

Our Defense deserves to win it for us. Maybe in OT

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:06 PM EST reply actions

The only 2 outcomes I forsee are tie or loss. I would be surprised by a win.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:06 PM EST reply actions

Considering how terrible the offenses are and the wind, I’d almost rather lose the OT coin toss here.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:07 PM EST reply actions

See

That was needlessly complex.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:12 PM EST reply actions

Is this really the time to be running plays like that?

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:12 PM EST reply actions

That Wildcat play is so predictable.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:12 PM EST reply actions

I think “the goose” might be drunk

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:12 PM EST reply actions

None of the receivers are getting open.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:13 PM EST reply actions

Wow

What the fuck was that?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:13 PM EST reply actions

Nice hit Sav!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:14 PM EST reply actions

TIE TIE TIE TIE. Yes, I am rooting for a tie.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:15 PM EST reply actions

fuck me

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:16 PM EST reply actions

This game is unbelievable

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:16 PM EST reply actions

Maybe the Beagles will hand the game to our Defense…

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:17 PM EST reply actions

We are gonna lose I guess.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:17 PM EST reply actions

It is now 11:17 in SA and me and my girlfriend are still sitting behind a fucking computer screen hoping that this thing will finish in a W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:18 PM EST reply actions

Make that a L now…

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:18 PM EST up reply actions

Please shoot me in the brain

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:18 PM EST reply actions

I propose that we don;t write any analysis about this gam all week.

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:19 PM EST reply actions

This is embarassing. I’m thinking a 15 yard first down pass to Houshmenzadah here.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:19 PM EST reply actions

The Bengals playcalling is almost as bad as ours.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:19 PM EST reply actions

Ahahaha

That rivals our playcalling!

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:19 PM EST reply actions

No one wants to win this one. A tie is looking likely.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:20 PM EST reply actions

I’ll tell you what…if this drive manages to stall after about 4 minutes, a tie seems exceedingly likely.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:21 PM EST up reply actions

Holy shit! I’ve never seen Klecko catch one before.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:21 PM EST reply actions

His previous catch was for like 70 yards, but it was brought back by a penalty

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:22 PM EST up reply actions

Wait, was that just a run for first down on a short-yardage situation? Eagles can do that?

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:22 PM EST reply actions

as long as it's not 3rd down

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:22 PM EST up reply actions

Klecko, a Temple U. grad.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:22 PM EST reply actions

Way to go, Klecko.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:22 PM EST reply actions

suck

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:23 PM EST reply actions

There is no way we win this thing

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:23 PM EST reply actions

Oh my God

He TOUCHED Leon Hall

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

Oh, shut up Moose. If that had been a Cowboy doing that you would’ve talked about how horrible a penalty it was.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

We need FredX

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

“Pedal to the metal?!” You sure Jeff?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

Good Christ

Do they WANT to win this game?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

HAHA. We are gonna tie. I love that.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:25 PM EST reply actions

z

Really? Delay of game? Nobody thought to call a friggin timeout?

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:25 PM EST reply actions

Andy Reid is making his “I don’t know what is going on face” again.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:25 PM EST reply actions

We need Jeff Garcia

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:25 PM EST reply actions

Ok Ashton, you can come out now?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:26 PM EST reply actions

Time for a 20 yard Rocca punt into the wind, followed by a short drive and a game winning FG.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

Jesus

This is beyond pathetic…

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

Rocca probably just cost us a tie there.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

Must not get windy down under

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

Ladies and Germans, that’s the end of the game right there.

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:28 PM EST reply actions

One OT. If it’s tied at the end of it, it’s a tie game.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:29 PM EST up reply actions

thye suck

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:29 PM EST up reply actions

A tie is called if time expires in OT and the score is equal.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:29 PM EST up reply actions

We won't hold em

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:29 PM EST reply actions

No coaches’ challenges in OT. Andy is saved from himself.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:32 PM EST reply actions

Good one, oldasquick

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:32 PM EST reply actions

They’re at the 45. Field goals are +17 from the yardline… so they need to make it to the 33 for a 50 yard FG, to the 29 for a 46 yard FG (Graham’s season long)

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:34 PM EST up reply actions

Wind is a factor too…

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:34 PM EST up reply actions

Your guess is as good as mine

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:35 PM EST reply actions

Going to pick up that Wendy’s wrapper that was blown out of his hand perhaps?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:35 PM EST up reply actions

We are essentially playing for a tie right now aren’t we? If we get the ball back, there is no way we score.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:35 PM EST reply actions

Wait, another timeout? Andy trying to preserve time for the comeback in case the Bengals score or something?

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:36 PM EST reply actions

He just feels the urge to use em all before the game ends…

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:36 PM EST up reply actions

Welcome back to the pain.

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:37 PM EST up reply actions

none left for us

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:37 PM EST up reply actions

Jesus

That was a “No!!!!” and then a “YES!!!!!” play

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:37 PM EST reply actions

Went away for a while

Did the Eagles just do something good?

The monster at the end of this blog.

by grover on Nov 16, 2008 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

We got another chance...

With two timeouts left…oh, wait…

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:38 PM EST reply actions

You honestly think we’d have a chance to come back even if we had 20 timeouts?

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

This is our time!!!! We will win this game!

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:39 PM EST reply actions

Ugh

Still with the smiling Donovan?

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:39 PM EST reply actions

hahahahahahah

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:40 PM EST up reply actions

Oh My God

There was NO ONE in the vicinity.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:40 PM EST reply actions

I don’t believe this

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:40 PM EST reply actions

They are gonna give the ball right back. Someone feed Andy Reid some rat poison in his big mac tonight.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:40 PM EST reply actions

Hey

At least it wasnt a pick… :|

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:40 PM EST reply actions

Idiot

Why didn’t he keep going to the sideline???

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:41 PM EST reply actions

Ok, do we go for it now?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:41 PM EST reply actions

Wow

That’s all I can say. Just fucking wow.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

If we don’t get this conversion, it has got to be some kind of record.

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

Andy Reid should not be smiling now, this is embarrassing.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

Time for the 30 yard pass to Johnson and then the game winning FG.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

A tie...

…to the Bengals is honestly a national embarrassment.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

Good lord...

Wouldnt be smarter to go for it considering our standings situation? :|

A tie here its just like a loss anyway…

by FireTheWalrus on Nov 16, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

You have to be kidding me.

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:43 PM EST reply actions

You can’t tackle the quarterback anymore. Sheldon Brown should know that!

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:43 PM EST reply actions

FG!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:43 PM EST reply actions

Cheap call there.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:43 PM EST reply actions

oh good god

we;re done i give up…

sorry leon but i might have to sell those thanksgiving tickets

Billy Penn who?

by 700 Level on Nov 16, 2008 4:43 PM EST reply actions

Honestly

You can’t breathe on a QB these days

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:44 PM EST reply actions

This is NOT Dancing with the Stars… it’s fucking FOOTBALL!!!!!

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:44 PM EST reply actions

I’m waiting to hear the “Looking at the QB with a mean look on his face, #90, defense….”

by wildcatlh on Nov 16, 2008 4:45 PM EST reply actions

OR

“Thinking bad thoughts about the QB…15 yard penalty”

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:45 PM EST reply actions

here we go!

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:47 PM EST reply actions

Ugh

Here comes a Matt Bryant style win.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:47 PM EST reply actions

This is a 46 yard FG right?

by LeonSA on Nov 16, 2008 4:47 PM EST reply actions

WOOHOO!

SOMEONE FINALLY MISSES AGAINST US!!!

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:47 PM EST reply actions

Still sucks for us

I bleed green and I piss silver and blue

by oldasquick on Nov 16, 2008 4:48 PM EST reply actions

Hail Mary Time

Or Hail Marty, whatever.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:48 PM EST reply actions

We’re lucky to get outta town with a tie on this one.

by JJinPA on Nov 16, 2008 4:49 PM EST reply actions

Haha. Tie. Why did i just spend 4 hours watching this?

by FuquaManuel on Nov 16, 2008 4:49 PM EST reply actions

That feels like a loss to me.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

by BrianS on Nov 16, 2008 4:52 PM EST reply actions

I'm out guys

Sorry we couldn’t get this one done.

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 4:58 PM EST reply actions

One last thing

Andy just said this sentence:

“I’ve got to put the players in a better position.”

by ajay on Nov 16, 2008 5:00 PM EST reply actions

Perspective

The Bengals took the Giants to overtime too.

Obviously, they aren’t as bad as 1-8-1.

by Andrew B on Nov 16, 2008 5:09 PM EST reply actions

8 sacks, no fumbles?

30 incompletions?

400 yards of offense, 1 touchdown?

Where are the interceptions on a QB as pathetic as Fitzpatrick?
