Not one bad word...

...about the defense.

I will agree that they couldn't get the redskins 3 and out but they were strong for the first 2 quarters. This game has to do with the fact that you can't strand your defense to constantly win the game for you. They left the game in the hands of the defense with Pittsburgh, with the Bears, and now with the Redskins. Unfortunately, if you can't get a first down to save your life then you can't score and obviously you're defense is going to get tired and that's exactly what happened.

What is going wrong? What is the problem?

Last week, and the week before, we said that we were missing Westbrook and that was the reason for the slow offensive start but now we have all of our playmakers, excluding Curtis, and we still can't make anything happen. So is it the coaching ineptitude or is something else at fault?

Why for example was Jackson out for most of the second half and why were we continually performing "trick" or misdirection plays to Westbrook when we're supposed to be a team that strives for balance with all of the other playmakers? This is rediculous, we deserved to lose this game because we can't score and it's as simple as that. I thought that maybe we were just having a slow start but this sad.

Heck, we don't even have the ability to turn each drive into a field goal anymore like we did in 2007, nope, now we just give them better field position than we could with a punt. I hate this, I hate not being able to catch a break or make a play because of: Bad playcalling, dropped passes, poor calls, etc.

What are your thoughts? At this rate, with this kind of poor offensive performance I see 8-8 with no playoffs...

...this sucks.

can someone please...

remind me why we pay andy reid and marty mornhinweg so much money? someone needs to show reid a stat sheet and highlight the fact that 1 playmaker, a.k.a. Westbrook, does not constitute a championship team. I’m sick of hearing reid say “i need to do a better job” and “we need to execute” and “I’m confident in the guys we have at each position.” The STL blowout was only b/c STL is the worst team in the league. Our offense has show glimpses of brilliance (i use that word lightly), but only 5 games in the season has shown too many flaws, including stalling on numerous drives, unable to score from the 1 YARD LINE, and a lack of play-making ability/successful creativity when we need it the msot. You can’t expect to win games all of a sudden when Westbrook returns to your offense when defenses know he is the ONLY THREAT!!! you need big play receivers and you hard-nose RB’s – BOTH of which we don’t have. we have donovan who is great, westbrrok who changes games by himself, and… i feel at this point I could have coached this team to a 2-3 start. I had to do everything i could not to throw the remote through the tv, and tried to watch/enjoy the phils just to keep myself from breaking stuff.

the defense is doing the best job they can. what more do you want from a unit that only gets 1:30 off for every 6:00 they are on the field?

i’ll never give up on our guys, but sometimes you just have to shake your head in digust at the coaches…
