quick question
as you know the eagles play the dirty birds this week and i was just wondering what you guys think about the up coming game. i for one think it will be a great game. i also would like to ask what you think the impact of andrews not playing will be because hes one of the more dominant guards in the game. i was wondering if you think it will free john abraham up a little and maybe weaken your ground game? all these hopes by me but i just wanted to get some input from real eagles fans.

Andrews is probably the best guard in the league, however he hasn’t played since week 2 and we have been doing fine. Max has been great so far and is really proving himself as a top notch backup. Andrews is definably missed and you can seee that in short yardage situations however that was 3 weeks ago. now we are learning

iloveroddywhite,
Andrews replacement, Max Jean-Giles, had filled in about as good as we can ask, but there is no question that the Eagles are better at rushing the football with Andrews in the game.
Here are some thoughts on this weeks game:
1 – The Eagles D seems to do well against bigger, power RB’s. That said, Turner seems to have rare speed for a 235lb back. How will we handle Turner?
2 – Jim Johnson usually schemes very well against inexperienced QB’s. I don’t think the question is how well Ryan will handle all of the blitzes, but will he be able to keep his mistakes to a minimum?
3 – The one glaring weakness in the Eagles D is the inability to cover TE’s. From what I can see, the Falcon’s TE’s have a combined 6 receptions total for the year. Will they try to get the TE’s involved? If the Eagles do not have to worry at all about covering a TE, they will most likely be able to tee up on Ryan and have a field day blitzing.
4- Besides Turner, Roddy White has been productive offensively (35 rec and 3 TD). But, after White, the reviving drops off significantly, next is Jenkins with just 13 rec. The Eagles have the corners to match up with just about any set of WR’s so this also seems to be a a big Philly advantage.
5 – The Eagles need to be careful of Norwood.
Summary – I am normally cautious, if not pessimistic about the Eagles chances, but this matchup seems to just scream Eagles blowout. But, you guys did beat GB and da Bears, so we shall see.

Dear Captain,
Great summery. i am so tired of fans assuming that we won a game without playing it and that always seems to be the games we looks I.E. redskins and da Bears(by the way i love how you said that), but your review ponted out the exact areas in which each team should have concers.
Thanks,
