Chiefs go to Philly for coaches?

I'm a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan(very embarassing, but loyal) and wanted to know what you guys think of a few of your coaches and front office types.  I wrote a post about it over at Arrowheadpride.com called "If I were in Charge", it is my idea to right the Chiefs ship.  The McNabb thing is just wishful thinking.  Could you give me your opinions on the guys I chose from the Eagles organization?  I have alot of respect for your team and how it is run, if you couldn't tell.  Thanks for any info on these coaches.

Unless Andy Reid is fired, there is very little you would want from us as far as coaches.
We do have a very good GM in Tom Heckert.

We lost our defensive Secondary (Special Team) coach- John Harbaugh to Baltimore
We lost our Offensive Coordinator – Brad Childress to the Vikings
We lost our Line Backer coach- Steve Spagnoula to the Giants
We lost our old Linebacker coach – Ron Rivera to the Bears.
And we lost our QB Coach to Baltimore (I forget his name).

So we just about lost any one worth while. Unless you like Marty Morningwheg.

Steve Spagnoula pisses me off. I mean, ok you wanted a better job, but the GIANTS dude? Come on.

Not having Harbaugh has hurt us, obviously not have Childress has hurt us. I forgot how much of Andy’s Brain trust has left.

Ron Rivera is currently LBs coach in San Diego – I was just talking him up as a pretty good option for D-Coordinator here in Denver…
Go get him JasonM – I can’t stand the Broncos

I forgot about him completely.

you would want Mornhinweg he was head coach of detroit for a year or two but he is a great OC for us and after learning from andy reid, as reid did with holgrem then i belive he would be a great HC. i would olso say offer the DC position to herm edwards if he takes it thats great, he is a great DC but if he dosent i dont see him being a HC anyware. wth those 2 you would have a great base to strt a franchise

by NickPampani on Oct 22, 2008 8:45 AM EDT   0 recs

I think you would be hard pressed to find a HC take a demotion to DC on the same team, a new team maybe but the same team … I doubt it.

I guess I should read the rest of the posts before posting … this has been covered, I apologize for my premature posting.

What do you guys think of Scott McDermott?

I doubt Herman would want to be a DC after almost 10 years of being a HC, but who knows.

herm has no choice, however i doubt he would be a DC of a team that he head coached

What is the deal with McNabb in Philly?

Is he a free agent after the season or what? I keep hearing that he will be the QB in Chicago next year, but if that doesn’t happen the Chiefs may make a run at him(this is all local sports radio talk so that’s why I ask)

The deal with McNabb is that every year someone says that Philly doesnt want him and that is NOT TRUE. and the reason there is always talk about him going to the Bears is because he is from Chicago. to jump ahead to the end of the story he isnt going anywhere anytime soon. it is like saying that the colts are going to get rid of payton because he has had a bad season. McNabb had a bad season in philly and the media both local and national is making it out like we want him gone but we are just expressing our frustration. does anybody really belive we wanted garcia over McNabb NO thats all the media. McNabb is younger and as better stats.

you guys have some young talented QBs just give them a chance and maybe a good coach. a young QB cant grow under a defencive orented team

by NickPampani on Oct 22, 2008 9:56 AM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Young yes

Talented NO. Croyle is out for the year, Huard is old, and Thigpen is HORRIBLE! We did just sign Quinn Gray to be our savior though, can you see why we want McNabb?

yeah, your QBs suck bro. I don't know, gotta pickone up in the draft I guess. You also seem

to be a little light at receiver. Other than Bowe, what else is there? Man, you guys can use a little help. And Larry’s crying isn’t helping much. He’s gotta at least be on time….

LJ is a POS he is being benched this week too

At WR we have Bowe=stud, but after that nothing. We picked up Devard Darling to be our 2nd WR in the offseason if that tells you anything. Our team is light everywhere, not just WR. It’s a tough time to be a Chiefs fan.

croyle is good for next year, and how old is Huard? maybe you can find something in the FA pool next year to be an interm QB until you draft you future QB. it looks like JP Losman, Garcia, Warner and Kyle Boller are all decent Free agents. although i think warner will get resigned

by NickPampani on Oct 22, 2008 10:15 AM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Croyle is done in KC IMO

and it doesn’t matter how old Huard is, he is a career backup and that’s all he should ever be(he is 35) The only FA we should look at is Garcia, then draft a qb and let him sit behind Garcia for a year or so.
