Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers Open Thread
Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers, Oct 12, 2008 4:15 PM EDT
Location: Candlestick Park - San Francisco, PA
Time: 4:15 ET
TV: FOX
Radio: 94WYSP, 610 WIP, Sirius 123
For a 49er perspective check out Niners Nation.
Gut check time for the Eagles as they travel to the west coast to take on the 2-3 49ers in what can only be termed a "must win." A win today would put the birds back at .500 heading into the bye with a string of winnable games on the horizon. A loss would pretty much bury them.
Did you know?
With 12 pass attempts & 264 yards Donovan McNabb will become the all time franchise leader in both categories.

at least we held them to only a field goal after that excellent starting postion
now lets get some offense going
Nice return

looks like Nedney has a seperated shoulder … now both teams don’t have a kicker.

I think we might be the only fans that hate being inside the 5

someone should really let C.B. know when to dive and when not to … I’m glad he got in though he should have a big day today.

Ummmm
Dallas is lookin like they’re in big trouble….
who is that?
has he been on the field this season? how much did we pay for him anyway?
man i'm just looking at our injury list...
we’ve been hit HARD by injuries this season… really, really hard. not that you don’t all know that already, but i dunno, makes our 2-3 (soon to be 3-3) a bit easeir to understand….
who cares bout early injuries…its not how u start, its how u finish…if everyone is healthy in week 14 and they winning…thats all that count
unless you fall to far behind early and then week 14 doesn't matter.
really easy to do in the NFC East

I know andrews is a beast
but I can’t help but think mjg has been slowly earning himself a starting spot somewhere on the line… if not perminantly this year, then next year maybe. if tra or runyan retires, slide andrews out, and mjg goes in
well he is a friggin road grader

man when curtis and brown are back...
we have a potentially very strong group of recievers.. “reciever by committe” or whatever but there are alot of guys who can play
hahaahah
that is a ludacris statement, his numbers alone make him a good number 2 option.
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
your opinion is that he stinks ... thats cool
but his numbers refute that … its all I’m saying … he will never be a number 1 but as a 2 he is pretty damn good.
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
Yeah i would say he owes us that
"Watching Big Ben kiss the canvas nine times in Philly was like watching a guy fighting a school of sharks -- with everyone rooting for the sharks."

"Watching Big Ben kiss the canvas nine times in Philly was like watching a guy fighting a school of sharks -- with everyone rooting for the sharks."
can someone please
explain why we stopped throwing ot him the past 2 weeks?
nfl coaches are so dumb. nolan wants to challenge a clear catch but didnt challenge the baskett catch or 3rd down that set up the first td…looks like andy reid.
Fuck. McNabb is a fucking shitty passer. How do you throw it at his ankles on a 5 yard dish there? Cost us 4 points. These are the things that add up. God, I’m venting. Sorry.
man I hate being inside the 5 … we really need to figure this out …
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"

"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
I believe someone earlier this week said .....
at least Akers hasn’t had one blocked for a TD …
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
Wow. I am gonna turn this off now. Bye guys. And bye Eagles. You are a shitty team, and shitty teams lose games.
I don't know why but I just can't stop laughing ...
this is absolutely insane … why do I even wake up on Sundays.
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
we may as well just not send akers out on the field anymore
nothing good ever seems to happen when we do
