Around SBN: Steve McNair Dead - Former NFL QB Shot and Killed

I can't wait any longer !

Ok, the season is just a matter of hours away, and over in England there's just not enough NFL talk. Before I list my predictions for the upcoming season, i'd just like to thank everyone who contributes to this site for saving me from suicidal levels of boredom ! Also, I thought you might be interested in that I've got tickets for the Giants-Dolphins game at Wembley in October, and i'll be there decked out in my finest Eagles attire. Also, I'm playing in the Junior Great Britain American football finals this sunday for under 17's, which nicely fits in with the start of the nfl season. Anyhow, enough waffling, here are my picks for the 2007 season:

NFC

East: Eagles
North: Bears
West: Seahawks
South: Saints
Wild-card's: Cowgirls, Packers

AFC

East: Patriots
North: Bengals
West: Chargers
South: Colts
Wild-card's: Broncos, Jaguars

NFC Champions: Eagles

AFC Champions: Chargers

SuperBowl Winners: Eagles

Thoughts ? What do you think will happen ?

Thanks, Fred

Nice
From what I can tell they won't be showing this weekend's game on Sky?

I hope you're right!
Although I'd love to see Dallas miss the playoffs (Actually I'd love to see them go 0-16 and TO and Romo get into fisticuffs after game 1, but I don't think that will happen)

Good luck in your game on Sunday.

It's time now to seal the deal. -- Donnie Mac

Window closing...
if the birds are gonna do it with the current player make up it has to happen in the next two years... just my opinion

You sure?
I think we've been saying the window is closing now for a few years... all the while the veterans on this team have more or less been replaced. Really at this point it's only McNabb & Dawkins. McNabb is only 30. Dawkins may well be on his last year or two, but the team is going to have a chance to replace him.

If Kolb is the real deal, this team may not miss a beat even when McNabb leaves... which for all we know could be 5-6 years from now.

Windows wide open
Apart from Dawkins, and perhaps McNabb, i'd say the rest of the team is fairly young and has alot of time to work with. If you look at the defence, it's all centred on young players; Cole, Patterson, Bunkley, Gaither, Gocong, Lito, Brown and Considine. And such notables as Brown, Westbrook, Curtis, Andrews and Jackson on the offence are all young with time on their side. Plus, as already noted above, Kolb's looked great so far and could be a ready made replacement to McNabb.
On the subject of T.V, unfortunatley the Eagles aren't on Sky this week, but thanks a ton for that e-mail you sent me, I had no idea that site exsisted ! Usually when the Eagles aren't on T.V me and my dad listen to the games on the pc, but hopefully now we can watch every game live now. You're a life saver Jason !

Sky
Sky own all the rights to major sporting events in Britain, for example the premier league soccer, rugby, football, cricket etc. The only sport it dosn't have rights to is Baseball.

The Eagles aren't going to win the SB
I like your spirit, and I'd love for it to happen, but come on.  Let's know hope it's those asshole Patriots though.
