Despite the losing week I did manage to nudge one place up in the SBN bloggers challenge. I now sit in 12th out of 22.
I've taken out a second mortgage and sold the family car! So let's get em back with the week 6 picks!
Home teams are in CAPS and my pick is in BOLD. So here we go...
TAMPA BAY -3.0 v Tennessee - This is one of the few games this week where I like the underdog. I think the Bucs have played well but they have a ton of big injuries.
CHICAGO -5.0 v Minnesota - Chicago should cover this easy.
JACKSONVILLE -6.5 v Houston - This may be the toughest game to pick this week. If the line was 7 I very well may have gone with Houston.
CLEVELAND -4.5 v Miami - Cleveland can score, Miami can not.
BALTIMORE -9.5 v St. Louis - This is a pretty tough pick as well, because the Rams are horrible Baltimore is no offensive juggernaut.
GREEN BAY -3.0 v Washington - Although I like Washington this year, I'm surprised this line in only 3.
Cincinnati -3.0 v KANSAS CITY - This is as close to a lock as you're going to get this week.
Philadelphia -3.0 v NEW YORK (NYJ)
ARIZONA -4.0 v Carolina - Update [2007-10-14 1:56:32 by BleedGreen]: David Carr has been downgraded to questionable making it likely newly signed Vinny Testaverde will start for Carolina... So since it's not yet Sunday I'm changing this pick.
SAN DIEGO -9.5 v Oakland - This is a lot of points considering that the Chargers haven't played well and the Raiders have... but I have a feeling this could be the week the Chargers hang 30+ on someone.
New England -5.5 v DALLAS - Frankly, I'm surprised this line is only 5.5. I think the Pats will easily win by a TD or more.
SEATTLE -6.5 v New Orleans - I'm done saying "this is the week the Saints turn it around"
New York (NYG) -3.5 v ATLANTA - I think this has the potential to be the worst game to watch this week. The Giants don't blow out the Falcons but they'll win by a TD.
